The Vaishno Devi Temple, also referred to as the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple and Vaishno Devi Bhavan, stands as a prominent Hindu mandir situated in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. Dedicated to Vaishno Devi, a revered manifestation of Durga, this sacred site rests on the Trikuta mountain at an elevation of 5,000 feet. Embraced by the Shakti tradition as a Shakti Pitha, the temple's governance falls under the auspices of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), overseen by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir since August 1986.
